Judith Dehail is Associate Professor (Maîtresse de conférences) at Aix-Marseille University (AMU). She teaches Cultural Mediation in the Art Department (Med*Arts program) and is a member of the Laboratoire d’Études en Sciences des Arts (LESA) since September 2018. She holds a PhD from Sorbonne University (2017). This research work focused on the problems raised by the exhibition of music and musical instruments in the museum and questioned the role usually granted to the knowledges of visitors within these cultural institutions.

Judith Dehail's research work is inscribed in the field of critical museology, looking into the politics of museum exhibitions and mediation, the relations between cultural institutions and their users, the topic of “participation” in cultural action.

She is in charge of the Bachelors’ program in Cultural Mediation at AMU since 2020.
